CONGRATS GIL SCOTT-HERON TICKETS WINNER!

Congratulations to Terrance Johnson of Brooklyn, NY. After many emails starting since this morning, he was the first to answer ALL FOUR of the Gil Scott-Heron trivia answers correctly. For those of you emailed the wrong answers or simply wanted to know here they are:

1.) Gil Scott-Heron was the first artist signed to what legendary American record label? Answer: Arista Records. In 1975 Clive Davis, after being fired from CBS Records, founded Arista and signed Gil to the label, making him his first act.

2.) What Gil Scott-Heron song did Warren G sample for the intro to his 1994 hit "Do You See?" Answer: The Bicentennial Blues

3.) Gil Scott-Heron's "Home Is Where The Hatred Is" has been remade twice. Once by a R&B Soul singer and again by a rapper(s). Who are they? Name both artists. Answer: Esther Phillips and Kanye West feat. Common

4.) In 1970 Gil Scott-Heron recorded a piece. At the end he said to whom and where he planned on sending his doctor's bills. Who and Where was it? Answer: "Whitey On the Moon"

Thank you to everyone that participated. Question #2 stumped a lot of people. Everyone thought it was "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised." Ya'll had to know I wasn't gonna use that piece for the trivia. Way too easy! But once again, thank you and congrats to Terrance, congrats homie.
